Favorite fighter: Claressa Shields & Amanda Serrano.

Female boxers should get way more credit as athletes because not only do they endure inequitable pay for their athletic abilities as a successful boxer, but they must also become competitive in MMA, wrestling, etc. to make their living as boxing athletes.  This shows such a high level of athleticism, dedication, and versatility that is unmatched by male athletes. Specifically, I am drawn to watching Shields as a black woman who grew up in a difficult home life but created a path forward for herself showing she can compete as a gold medal olympian as well as a professional female boxer taking on main event cards now and being the self identified GWOAT.
Serrano is also a favorite because she has shown her skills in multiple weight classes being able to show extreme athleticism against multiple weight divisions.  She has continued her career into her mid thirties, and in my opinion should have won the main card serrano/taylor fight in 2022.

Why do you love boxing training?

I started boxing as exercise.  I found it challenging and a good sequence to keep my heart rate up.  But when I began to LEARN boxing I had a total paradigm shift.  The connection between movement and mind brought a whole different level of challenge.  Through training as a boxer I have gained greater balance, strength, endurance, and mental fortitude.  I am "hooked"!

Favorite punch:

left hook on the bag, right hook on the body
